Will a country ever use Crypto as their official currency or will there be an overwhelming push for CBDC?

A big questionmark for the future of the Cryptocurrency market is if there will be large mainstream adoption of Cryptocurrency. A step further would be a country adopting a Crypto as their official currency. This would likely create a large surge in the crypto chosen. Further, it could create a huge wave of gains in the whole Crypto market as people would speculate which coin would maybe be chosen next. However we have talk of CBDC, Central Bank Digital Currency, being the way of the future. The banks have a chance to quel the Crypto market through either adoption of their CBDC or legislation against Crypto. Do you see Crypto emerging further or will CBDC eventually take over through any means necessary? submitted by /u/Jase82 [link] [comments]
