Why should anyone invest in altcoins other than to have a chance at a bigger profit?

I am curious as to what alt coins bring to the table especially when they are a lot more volatile than BTC and ETH and not to mention the other problems they come with in terms of security and bad actors that are involved with these projects. Most of them seem like a high risk, high reward investments but would love to know if there are any projects that function beyond just as a gamble. I would also add that there always issues popping up even within the know projects so it seems like a big gamble to me to invest in anything outside of them and I am sure many people get burned when throwing their money in a newer project. submitted by /u/Kukuzahara [link] [comments]
